So today we went off to do some of that training I mentioned.

First we did some heel work using treats as an incentive, then a straight back retrieve with several stop whistles on the way. Was tougher on Teasle, calling her in a few times and that really seemed to work.

They then got a straight back, stop and left hand. Molly was fine. Teasle took a while to get her attention to go left properly. The grass is a bit tall now which doesn't help. However, eventually she went off left well and stopped to hunt when I whistled her, coming back quite quickly for Teasle.

We then did the long walk. Molly did the fence on the first pass and then from the other side. Teasle took a few goes with the smaller furry dummy but eventually actually really jumped the fence, and again with a normal dummy, really taking off. I intend to go up for a jump every day to get it into her head properly.

Whiel I was preparing tea I took them out, one by one, to do some heel and sit work with the carrot ends. Worked well with Molly. Teasle spat out the carrot, but did do the heeling. Sometimes I just don't get that dog!!

Well, they are flat out now so the excitemnet must have got to them!!!
